DIRECTIONS TO LE BIOT

From the car hire on the Swiss Side of Geneva. Leave the car park and head over to the right hand side of the road, signposted Geneva / Lac, NOT FRANCE as this is the Motorway. You then bare RIGHT again and join a normal road with traffic lights ahead.

Keep following signs for the Lake / Lac. This is one road that twists and turns a little you will go through several traffic lights and then the road mixes with Trams/street buses so be careful…

Stay in the middle lane as you hit all the shops keep following Lake signs. At the bottom of this road, you will see the Lake in front of you, you are turning RIGHT and then bare LEFT over the bridge, you are now following signs to EVIAN.

LEFT lane at the bridge is best, marked on the road EVIAN.

This takes you to a LEFT hand turn at some lights, you will now be driving along the lake. Carry on in this direction for approx 20 minutes, you head away from the lake and more into the country, past little villages. You will then get to customs!

Drive through the chicane at customs, slow down for the miserable men with power…..

Carry on through the countryside, Be aware that as you come into SCIEZ, there is a speed camera as you go past the village sign. You will then get to the big shopping area. If you want to shop before the house then the Hypermarket is here.

You will then arrive at the lovely roundabout with flowers in the Summer and a Snow / Christmas scene in the Winter.

You are now in Thonnon….. and start to follow signs for Morzine.

As you go through road with nice street lights, you will come to traffic lights that force you RIGHT under a bridge, still signed Morzine. This then leads you over a roundabout and to some lights near the railway where you turn RIGHT, signpost Morzine.

Turn RIGHT and now you will head up towards the mountains. Follow the mountain road and signs to Morzine. Windy mountain roads ahead…….

Keep following Morzine and then you will see Le Biot signposted.

After the Lac de Jotty on your left, near to a camping site, the road bends left and then right, you will see the village La Baume ahead of you, you go over a small bridge head over and right up a narrow road to Le Biot. Continue up to Le Biot, in the village past the hotel, about 100yds further up is the Post Office and Tourist Office where there is a crossing in the road and I am opposite.

From Geneva to Evian turn off 10 - 15 minutes, main bit of traffic

Evian Turnoff to Customs 20 minutes, nice countryside

Customs to Morzine and mountain turn off 20 minutes, yee ha in the ALPS

Up the mountain to Le Biot 20 minutes.
